Returning UNM Students

Complete your degree at UNM West!

Have you taken a semester or two off from your studies? At UNM West, we know that pursuing an education can be a challenging endeavor given the range of issues that a student faces in their daily lives. If you are looking to come back to UNM and finish your degree, we encourage you to consider UNM West! We offer the following degree programs for students interested in finishing their degrees:

  • Business Administration
  • Nursing
  • Liberal Arts/ Integrated Studies (see below for more information)
  • Elementary Education/ Special Education Dual License
  • Emergency Medical Services 
  • Sociology
  • Psychology
  • Criminology
  • Communication
  • Master's in Public Administration (via ITV)

In addition to these degrees, we also offer core and prerequisite courses, as well as other program-specific courses for most Bachelor's degrees offered at Main Campus. In addition, we offer the Anderson School of Management's Master's of Business Administration Core courses. Further, we offer the College of Education's courses leading to degree completion for the Master's of Special Education degree.

Bachelor of Liberal Arts/ Integrated Studies

The Bachelor of Liberal Arts/ Bachelor of Integrated Studies degrees at UNM West may be viable options for many students interested in completing their degrees. The Liberal Arts program is ideal for students with academic and career aspirations that require inter- or multi-disciplinary study. Since each student has the responsibility for the quality of his or her education, the successful Liberal Arts student will be one who can develop a challenging Plan of Study and stick to it. Graduation Project

The Graduation Project is a program designed to help students who have left the university return and finish their bachelor's degree. To qualify for the Graduation Project, students must have:

  • Stopped out for at least one semester (excluding Summer)
  • At least a 2.0 GPA
  • Earned 98 credit hours, with at least 30 hours completed at UNM
  • Left in good financial standing
